MF Shopify Feed Builder Privacy Policy
How the MF Shopify Feed Builder app collects, uses, and shares personal information.
MF Shopify Feed Builder (“the App”) provides a product feed management and optimisation service (“the Service”) to merchants who use Shopify to power their stores. The App lets merchants build, optimise, and sync product feeds to channels such as Google and Meta.
This Privacy Policy describes how personal information is collected, used, and shared when you install or use the App in connection with your Shopify-supported store.
01
Information We Collect
When you install the App, we are automatically able to access certain information from your Shopify account via the Shopify GraphQL Admin API:
Shop information
Store name, domain, currency, locale, plan, and configuration details required to operate the App.
Products
Titles, descriptions, images, variants, prices, SKUs, identifiers, metafields and other catalogue attributes used to build feeds.
Inventory
Stock levels and availability per location, used to keep feeds accurate.
Information you provide directly
- Account details such as your name and email address.
- Limited internal marketing information about your account (e.g. company name, app plan, and usage signals about how the App is used).
We do not track or log information about individual visitors or buyers on your Shopify store.
On our marketing website
We collect information using the following technologies on our own marketing website:
- Cookies — data files placed on your device, often including an anonymous unique identifier. Learn more at allaboutcookies.org.
- Log files — actions on the site, including IP address, browser type, ISP, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps.
- Web beacons, tags & pixels — electronic files used to record how you browse the site.
02
How We Use Your Information
Provide and operate the Service (feed generation, optimisation, and syncing to connected channels).
Communicate with you about the App — support, product updates, and service notifications.
Optimise and improve the App over time.
Send relevant product or service information where permitted.
We share product and feed data with Google and Meta — but only with the channels and platforms each merchant has explicitly connected and agreed to — for the purpose of running the merchant's marketing and advertising campaigns.
Service providers
Trusted infrastructure and cloud hosting partners that host or support the App, strictly to operate the Service.
Legal & compliance
To comply with laws and regulations, respond to lawful requests (e.g. subpoenas), or otherwise protect our rights.
04
Your Rights
If you are a European or UK resident, you have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to ask that it be corrected, updated, or deleted. To exercise this right, contact us using the details below.
We process your information to fulfil contracts we may have with you (for example, when you install the App through Shopify), or otherwise to pursue the legitimate business interests listed above. Please note that your information may be transferred outside of Europe and the United Kingdom.
05
Data Retention
We retain personal information and shop data for as long as the App remains installed on your Shopify store. When the App is uninstalled, the associated data is deleted in line with Shopify's mandatory privacy webhooks (shop/redact and customers/redact), unless we are required to retain it to comply with applicable legal obligations.
06
Changes
We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.
